Rockin’ & Rollin’ At 70!

It’s a year of celebrations and one that The Catfish Kings are certainly celebrating. On the 5th of October that full on rock and swing band, with a huge country-wide following, are playing a show at one of Brighton’s oldest venues, The Brighton Railway Club at Seven Dials.

The Catfish Kings

It’s 70 years since the railway club was founded back in 1954. The club has a thriving community of members but in addition welcomes people to many of their events and classes which include Argentine Tango, board game evenings and appropriately swing dance classes.

But back in 1954 some other milestones took place. It was the year that Elvis Presley recorded That’s Alright Momma and Big Joe Turner recorded Shake Rattle and Roll. So what could be more appropriate than an evening of great music, old and new from The Catfish Kings, one of the best dance bands in the UK.

The Catfish Kings never fail to get their audiences up and dancing and if you want to see some of the coolest dancers and hear some classic rock ‘n’ roll then put on your dirndl skirts and blue suede shoes and head up to Seven Dials and join in the fun.
