Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – Teddys life

Sammy Rome has produced an informative and moving film about what it is like to live with DMD – Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – a neuromuscular disease causing weakness and degeneration in muscle fibres. Sammy filmed Teddy, a young boy who inherited the gene for the disease, and each day overcomes the various challenges it brings. Sammy highlights the medication that can alleviate this life-limiting disease which is not equally or readily available on the NHS.
