LV Loves – Strings attached?

The opening of the can with The Greek has intrigued some of you; I’m almost feeling the pressure to give you all a happy ending. I don’t want to disappoint but I’m not sure that will be the case.

I addressed his lack of enthusiasm via text just saying that despite us having a casual relationship it would be nice if he was a little more attentive and warmer to me, he thought I was being a drama queen which as you can imagine enraged me, he said he didn’t know why we rubbed each other up the wrong way but he felt we got on better when we were just friends (without the benefits) and kept it simple. I disagreed.

BFF thought this was mature of him; to acknowledge the fact that all the time we were ‘friends with benefits’ it wouldn’t work. My view, of course, was that he was taking the easy way out and was just ditching me. In my mind I could handle the situation if he was less blasé about it all. BFF stated that if he changed how he was at this stage it would take the relationship to another level and would I want that? Could this be any more confusing?

I knew I should talk to him about it further but when I see him; I can’t seem to approach the issue, so I talk about everything but. Does that make me immature? Or just anxious of the way the conversation might go?

We meet again and nothing is discussed, we just have a nice time. He is more attentive and respectful and we actually act like we like each other a bit more.

Two weeks later, (there had been contact previously but not much) he messaged, asking me my bank holiday plans and suggested he may come and see me to have a staycation at the seaside, with dinner and drinks etc. He said when I picked myself up off the floor could I get back to him (as you can imagine this took a while).

Once I got over the shock, I loved that he had shown some charm and despite totally disbelieving it would happen I said yes I’d love a staycation.

So after 4 years The Greek and I went on our first date.
