Celeb City: Jack Black
Jack Black, Amelia Lily, Great British Bake Off, Shepard Fairey & congratulations to Adele
Tenacious T
The Hollywood star and musical legend Jack Black popped into the brand new Make-Away store in Brighton recently to have a look at the hand-made local artwork and custom made T-shirts on sale. Part of a Nationwide project, organised by the Retail Trust and Retail Ready people, Make-Away provides a free training programme for young volunteers to learn design, marketing, communication and display skills. The Tenacious D star brought a little bit of LA glitz to the store which is set to open in Brighton Square on 3 November.
X-trememly affectionate
Ex X-Factor contestant Amelia Lily is the latest singer to get her hands on a Brighton boy. The pink haired, one-time finalist – who recently celebrated her 18th birthday – recently told the Daily Star she’s been involved in a long distance relationship with local lad Ollie Mack.
Fairey tales
We were lucky enough to get a guided tour around Shepard Fairey’s new show ‘Sound and Vision’ by the man himself last week. Visiting all the way from sunny LA, the worldwide street-artist took over the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London, to launch a pop up shop of his OBEY clothing line alongside his prolific artworks. On opening night the queue was around the block so we were happy to have snuck in beforehand.
Horsham hotties
Two ex- Great British Bake Off contestants have chosen Horsham as the location of their newest venture: ‘Carry on Baking’. Cathryn Dresser and Sarah-Jane Willis, who both took part in the hit BBC show, will open the stall every Saturday from 27 October. Get your taste buds ready!
congratulations adele
Huge congratulation to Adele who has reportedly given birth to a baby boy! The multi-award winning singer has had a baby with her Brighton man Simon Konecki meaning that she’s somewhat missed out on the glitz and glamour of the Bond premieres, though knowing our girl Adele she probably wont be too fussed.
Spotted!
Zoe Ball was seen enjoying a manicure at the Nails Inc nail bar in Debenhams, Churchill Square and we can tell you she chose a three-week gel manicure in Victoria – a deep aubergine shade.
