Dinosaur Jnr

With an hour and a half long set it’s safe to say Dinosaur Jnr kept their sold out crowd at the Concorde 2 more than satisfied. Performing shows from the depths of the 1980s right up until present day is no easy feat, yet this three-piece historical, grunge entity resonated as much fresh energy as any band half their age could. More than anything the venue felt like a time warp, with long unkempt hair a-plenty and a number of nose rings thrown in for good measure. Frontman Joseph Masics and co glided through stereo classics ‘Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know’ to ‘Raisans’. Closing the show with The Cure’s ‘Just Like Heaven’, which left happy fans dancing and singing onto the seafront.
