The Space – Martyn Ware And Terry Rawlings

The marvellous series of chats with media bigwigs (and the best raffle in town) continued with Lisa Holloway helming an engaging opening dialogue with Human League founder Ware. Sharing his amazing journey from Co-op assistant manager to super-producer, we were treated to insights of late 70s Tory-ravaged Sheffield, via Heaven 17’s run in with BBC Radio 1 to a proposed 3D sound commission for The Proms. Sound editor Terry Rawlings proved the perfect guest, speaking passionately of his beginnings in gritty British dramas through to his long term working relationships with auteurs Ken Russell and Ridley Scott. An enlightening evening’s entertainment.
