Woman punched in face during robbery in Brighton
A woman suffered minor facial injuries when she was robbed of her handbag in Brighton.
The 19-year-old victim was walking along Sudeley Place, near the Saint George’s Inn, in Kemp Town, at about 4pm on Saturday (16 March) when two men approached her.
One of them punched her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground. He then ran off with her handbag which contained some clothes and £10.
Detective Constable Sophie Tullett said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked attack and the victim did suffer from some minor facial injuries but was extremely shaken by the robbery.”
Detective Constable Sophie Tullett said that the victim saw only one of the men, the one who punched her.
He was described as white, about 5ft 11in tall and skinny. He was wearing a hooded top and a baseball cap with a green edge.
