Dreadzone

Dreadzone have been pioneering their particular brand of dub/trance for 20 years now. The anthemic nature of the music was popularised when John Peel named their ‘Second Light’ album (Virgin Records 1995) one of his favourite of all time. Tracks like ‘Little Britain’ and ‘Fight The Power’ have rightly gone down in rave history as legendary and it is the mix of Celtic/Jamaican/Asian influence which draws the hardened dub-heads as well as younger constituent evident in tonight’s effervescent Concorde crowd. Fronted by Earl 16 and a lively and likeable MC Spee, the band benefited from a distinctly, cleaner sounding PA.
