Man arrested over Hove pitch and putt murder
A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a homeless man on Hove seafront.
Sussex Police said that the suspect, who had links to Brighton, was brought into custody today (Wednesday 10 April).
He was arrested by detectives investigating the death of Lea Williams, a 45-year-old homeless man, who was killed earlier this year.
His body was found in the arches at the edge of the seafront pitch and putt course in Kingsway on Monday 11 February.
Post-mortem tests indicated that he died from severe injuries to his face and head caused by a heavy object.
He suffered other injuries to his body including several broken ribs.
The suspect remains in custody for questioning.
