Cameron Contemporary Art showcases The Illustrated Recipe at Brighton Festival

The perfect ingredients

Cameron Contemporary Art presents an exhibition inspired by the culinary eccentricities of the Regency period. Five leading British artists respond in paint, collage, crochet, denim and digital illustration.

Sarah Arnett’s successful and varied career so far has seen her create a range of beautiful print dresses, illustrations, wallpaper and interior textiles.

As an artist and designer, rising star Ed Kluz embraces all forms of image making, from printmaking and textile design to book illustration and painting.

Kate Jenkins is a knitting genius and one of Cameron Contemporary Art’s most original and innovative UK artists. Famous for her unique crocheted food with wry, comic touches. She has exhibited throughout Britain and the United States and her work is collected worldwide.

Ian Berry changed his stage name to Denimu and made a career out of turning jeans into works of art.

Ian conjures remarkably detailed works using nothing more than discarded jeans. He cuts, stitches and glues using only the varying shades of the fabric to provide contrast and shadow.

Kirsty Wither is one of the country’s most collectable female painters. Her rich, vibrant originals are immediately recognisable and sell worldwide.
