Dr Lucie Green: The Sun and the Stars

I love watching documentaries/reading books on the universe, it is a fascinating subject. But boy it’s a big heavy topic and some of the facts/mathematics are simply mind exploding. But as ‘The Sky At Night’s Dr Green demonstrated in this lecture/Q&A, it can still be accessible via some groovy time lapse film from satellites and simulations. Primarily focusing on our own sun’s magnetic fields; solar flares and sun spots, Dr Green managed to deliver a complex and data-heavy subject matter in digestible and understandable chunks without the need to dumb it down. Her enthusiasm was obvious but more importantly infectious. Great stuff.
