Events: Brighton Fashion Week

Brighton becomes home to some of the world’s most innovative talent blossoming from the fashion industry

Fashion designers will be descending on Brighton this week to exhibit their talent and creations for those who wish to witness the ever evolving world of the fashion industry. Forty-five designers will be showcasing their work over a variety of events and dates, beginning with the ‘Zeitgeist’ Show and ending with a High Street catwalk at Churchill Square, demonstrating the importance of the creative artistry and its transition into the styles and designs we wear everyday.

This year, Brighton Fashion Week is pleased to announce ‘ShowReel’ as one of the exciting shows to mark off on your agenda as they dedicate this catwalk event to supporting and exposing costume design, with concepts that have sometimes so readily gone hand-in-hand with fashion throughout the years. Also, in the dawn of the ecological age comes ‘Sustain’, a showcase of ethically minded design testing the boundaries of sustainable and uncompromising fashion with morals.

Brighton Fashion Week will also be coinciding with Brighton and Hove People’s day, a huge free event taking over the city with lots to do for both residents and curious visitors. To celebrate this, there will be a collaboration of both events resulting in BFW’s Style Zone headlining the Health and Wellbeing Zone in Jubilee Square. Come along for activities, designer sales and exciting installations, all in the name of fashion.

Brighton Fashion Week, Thursday 13 June–Sunday 16 June, shows from 8.30pm Thurs–Sat, 10.30am on Sun, various locations, Brighton, from £10, www.brightonfashionweek.com
