The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club

Ably supported by the excellent The Impellers funk band, and Brighton’s very own DJ Format, Charles got the crowd moving with a wall of sound that makes his Radio 6 show still one on the best on air. Playing everything from classic choons to more contemporary dance numbers, the Scouse soulster ensured the feet kept shuffling, causing this “tired and emotional” reviewer to throw silly shapes on the dance floor long into the wee small hours, dancing to a final set by Sir Funk. Thoroughly recommended.
