Mission Of Burma

Sometimes there’s nothing better than an old-fashioned rock setup, with this critically acclaimed post-punk band creating an awesome racket with just a guitarist, bassist and drummer. The set drew heavily from their strong latest album ‘Unsound’ which didn’t hinder the musical quality, but the crowd was clearly most enthusiastic with the sprinkling of fan favourites such as ‘Academy Fight Song’ and ‘This Is Not A Photograph’. Roger Miller pummelled his guitar with gusto, utilising obtuse chords and quirky solos brilliantly, and the other musicians matched his vigour and skill with a passion which younger, more restrained bands could certainly learn from.
