Mitch Benn…….is the 37th Beatle

You’ve heard of The Beatles, you’ve probably heard people being referred to as ‘The Fifth Beatle’. As did Mitch Benn who, once he worked out who could have been The Fifth Beatle, found out he was probably the 37th… or not. Mitch produced his usual level of high quality satire-based songs based on Beatle tracks, the highlight being the finale medley from Abbey Road… with hidden track! I was pleased he referenced the don of Beatle-based parodies, Neil Innes (see The Rutles for an examples) for without him Mitch wouldn’t have a job. You could argue this was more lecture than comedy show, although undoubtedly clever.
