Brighton man denies murdering father of two in Hove
A 31-year-old Brighton man has denied shooting dead a father of two in a street in Hove.
Edmund Nela, who has no fixed address, denied a charge of murder, two charges of attempted murder and one count of having a firearm.
He is accused of murdering Xhem Krasniqi, 31, an Albanian scaffolder and father of two, who lived in Strood, Kent.
Mr Krasniqi was shot in the stomach while walking with his brother and nephew in Church Road, Hove, near the junction with Selborne Road on Saturday 18 May.
At Lewes Crown Court yesterday (Friday 27 September) Nela was remanded in custody until Monday 13 January when he is due to go on trial.
