Jason Byrne’s Special Eye

“Every time I play this venue, people say ‘those plants were great.’” There are no plants in the front row, just an eccentric cast assembled by the off-key imagination of Jason Byrne. The veteran comic has a talent for drawing the punter into his stories – which range in theme from the alarmingly scatalogical to the twee and surreal – while constantly referring back to the audience, many of whom attended last year. Always on the friendly side of confrontational, Byrne knows his trade inside out and wins the crowd with spectacular busking and effortlessly disarming charm.
