An Evening With Bryan Ferry

Having been brought up listening to Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music, I knew it was going to be a good show. The Bryan Ferry Orchestra warmed the audience up with a few instrumentals before the man himself came on stage. The show was a sell out and he certainly didn’t disappoint, serenading us with a voice like treacle, and when he played the harmonica it was both moving and powerful. The orchestra’s jazz version of Avalon (my favourite song) took my breath away, so much so in fact that I bought the Jazz Age album after the show. We couldn’t stop our feet tapping and heads bobbing along to the music and towards the end joined everyone else in dancing away to the last few songs. A thoroughly enjoyable evening that we didn’t want to end.
