The frosty weather outside is the perfect excuse to break out the frosty textures and shimmery glitters from your makeup kit. Go ahead I dare you! DON’T be one of the hum-buggers letting the cold weather get you down this season. No, no, no! Go for the bright, fun colours and bring a bit of shine and sparkle to the day and night. Wonderful blues, turquoises, and pinks on a pale base will give you a luminous, glowy uplift.

Our model Jade Marangolo came all the way from Brazil to help up shake off the winter blues with her infectious smile and cheery attitude. Unfortunately she picked a rotten day to make her very first visit to Brighton as it was a really cold, rainy, windy one. Boo, but no matter… she still showed up to the photo studio with her bright smile give us some really great makeup shots. What with the horrible weather, original makeup artist not being able to come at the last minute, and a really annoying fire alarm… it WAS the day from hell. Thankfully the fire alarm finally cut off, and we got a replacement makeup artist by way of the very talented Xoe Kingsley. She shows up some great examples of how to start off subtle for your day look, then go with even stronger accents and bling on the eye shadow for that wild night out or special event.

Say hello to glamour with luxurious long lashes. Use blues and even a touch of green to bring out the eyes. The oh-so-girly pink lips, with a sweep of pink on the cheeks, are a must to pull off the look. Metallic or glitter liner is great teamed up with hot pink lips for the evening, super glam version of this look.
