City Of Ashes

The floor vibrated with anticipation as the guitars started tuning up and the drumsticks began to lay out a beat. Although this was only the warm up and support act TripHazard, I was surprised at how they kept the audience standing (and clapping along), which continued with two more supporting acts till finally, City Of Ashes took the stage in a performance that kept my foot tapping throughout. I was infused with the music, I forgot where I was and harked back to the days where ‘live’ music used to be as raw and as good as this.
