Everyone’s a winner
Local businesses, Wheelers and Callaways, celebrate success in the Estate Agent of the Year awards
“I started Wheelers Estate Agents in 2001, an independent company based in Hanover. Buyers and sellers seem to like our approach: professional, not pushy, and fair. We have been very fortunate to have had many lovely clients come back to us over and over again, who in turn recommend us to their friends. I recently counted up ‘Thank you ‘cards and was delighted to see it was over 500, so we must be doing something right.
“I decided to enter ‘The Estate Agent of the Year ‘awards www.theestas.com based on the excellent feedback we were having over the years, never thinking my company would actually win. We were voted the Gold Winner in the South East, thanks mainly to the superb staff I have and the positive feedback customers gave to the judging panel. I was lucky enough to be voted one of the top five agents in the country too.
Recently we were awarded a silver award for the best estate agents in Brighton for customer service on the national estate agent review site www.allagents.co.uk. At the time of writing this we now have the best reviews in Brighton. I hope we can help you move.”

A bumper year for Callaways’ awards success
“Our awards success began early as Callaways were shortlisted for The Argus sponsored LBA competition designed to promote professional and innovative businesses. This generated free advertising and business mentoring. Callaways also proved a strong contender on the property awards platform being successful for the fifth year running at the International Property Awards for Best Estate Agent East Sussex.
Similar accolades were awarded at the Negotiator Awards when Lauren Wadey was privileged to be awarded Silver in The Rising Star category. We were also shortlisted for Marketing Team of the year and Land & New Homes Specialist.
“Entering these awards is not for the faint-hearted and there are the inevitable costs of entry. We enter because we believe it’s in our customers’ interest to do so. By annually reviewing our award submission it raises our game. We have to make sure that we keep up-to-date with innovation and best practice within the estate agency sector. This can mean embracing social media as a route to market, making available the latest app, and being up-to-date with any legal changes, which is all good news to our customers”.
