The future of Hove up for discussion at public meeting

What will Hove look like in 15 years’ time? What should it look like? Where will new homes be built? And how much more congested will the streets become?

These are among the questions being addressed by six experts at a public meeting in Hove tomorrow evening (Thursday 24 April).

The event has been organised by Hove Civic Society and is due to take place at the Courtlands Hotel in Grand Avenue, Hove, from 7pm.

Entry to the event, entitled Visions of Hove in 2030, is free to members and £3 to visitors.

The society said that the expert panel would talk about housing, transport and the public domain.

Councillor Bill Randall and architect Nick Lomax will address how we can provide the additional housing required while preserving the best of Hove.

Councillor Gill Mitchell and Martin Harris, managing director of the Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company, would talk about traffic and public transport to enable us to keep us moving in sustainable ways.

And Councillor Graham Cox and Stephen Young, the chairman of Living Streets, would talk about improving our public domain.
