Ben Watt – Romany and Tom

The inevitable reality of parents getting older isn’t an obvious choice for a book by Ben Watt, famously known from pop band, Everything But The Girl. Yet his unapologetic honest memoirs of his parents’ love affair, including them going into a nursing home is touching, humorous, even delightful.

When asked why he wrote their story, he replied, “It’s what I do isn’t it? Self-expression is what you write or what you sing. It’s what it’s all about.”

‘Romany And Tom’ is a tale of two amazing people, told through their secret love letters. A hidden relationship that transpires to be everything but the norm.
