Simply Soweto Encha

I felt privileged to attend the new show from a cappella 5-piece Simply Soweto Encha. Such a vibrant and powerful force drives these performances, with deep rich vocal layering punctuated by percussive hands and feet. This show moved the Brighton congregation to a standing ovation. St Paul’s church provided the perfect space to lift these voices and they used the acoustic qualities of the venue to wrap us in warm waves of sonic exultation. The bar has now been set for mouth trumpeting; could you make your lips recreate a cornet, a trombone, or a muted brass solo? Come see how it is done right!
