Man suffers facial injuries after being attacked in Brighton

A 42-year-old man suffered a fractured cheek and broken nose when he was attacked in the street in Brighton.

The victim was walking home from the shops in Whitehawk Road, Brighton, when he was attacked between 7pm and 7.30pm on Friday (23 May).

Sussex Police said: “There is believed to be one suspect who is described as a white man, in his early thirties, 5ft 11in and of muscular build. He has short brown hair and was wearing a pale coloured t-shirt and shorts.”

Detective Constable Grant Hebblewhite said: “I am looking for witnesses who saw an assault take place on Whitehawk Road.

“In particular, a man and woman who were seen by another witness looking across at the assault.”
