Knee Deep

A 45 minute delay with no explanation wasn’t the best way to start the show, but once underway the four piece troupe showed why they are so widely revered. After an egg-walking stint that felt a little old hat, they dazzled with human rope bridges and log rolls that showcased their incredible core strength, plus the world’s only human totem pole assembled to a Gil Scott-Heron soundtrack. A hybrid of yogic gymnastics and slo-mo jitterbugging, plus some top hula-hoopery, the show culminated in a spectacular but graceful trapeze piece that was the highlight yet ended without the expected ceremonial bang.
