Win a Beethoven Mysteries CD
Ludwig van Beethoven composed nine symphonies and 32 piano sonatas, but there are still some of his works that even ardent fans might not be aware of. The Beethoven Mysteries, released on Brana, a record label dedicated to restoring the rare performances of Brazilian-Polish pianist Felicja Blumental), brings together some of the German composer’s lesser known ‘mystery’ works. Amongst others, the special- edition CD includes Rondo In B Flat Major, for which the original manuscript no longer exists, and Violin Concerto In D Major, which allegedly took so long to finish, the sheet music was only handed to the lead violinist on the night of the premiere in 1806.
We have five copies of the CD to give away. For a chance to win one, all you have to do is answer the following question:
Beethoven studied piano under which famous classical composer?
