Likely Lads

How excited were we to hear that Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads? star James Bolam was spotted in The Lanes? Popular with the kids chez nous for his hit role in Cbeebies hit show Grandpa In My Pocket, the British comedy treasure was spotted in the Brighton Lanes Antique Centre. James was in the city filming a celebrity version of The Antiques Road Trip, the BBC TV show where antiques experts join celebrities on a jaunt around the country in pursuit of hidden treasures to sell at auction. Mr Bolam was taking part in the show to support Children in Need.

Diamonds are a girL’s best friend

There’s a silver lining to every cloud, right? And never has that age-old saying been more true than in the case of Katie Price’s shall-we-say ‘unfortunate’ love life. We hear that the Sussex-based pneumatic glamour-puss has built up an eye-watering collection of bling on her erratic stroll through the path of true love. According to a jewellery expert quoted in the Daily Mail, La Price has, as a result of her five broken marriages and engagements, amassed a wedding and engagement ring collection that is worth in the region of £1 million. There may come a time when a lass needs a lawyer, but diamonds are a girl’s best friend, eh Kate?

Urban Artfest

The artrepublic/Ink_d sponsored Urban ArtFest was the hottest event at the last weekend of the Brighton Fringe with some amazing artwork being left as a legacy on site at Circus Street. We are particularly in awe of this piece by Berlin-based artist David Walker. More please!
