Fireco Offers Helping Hand To Local Charities
Charitable work is high up the agenda at fire safety specialist Fireco. The Brighton-based company uses this work to reach out to the local community and encourage team spirit among its employees. Recent events include gardening at Nyman’s Gardens on Wednesday 11 June. The team will also be assisting rehabilitation at Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) on Tuesday 8 July, and conducting a Golf Day in aid of Family Support Work (FSW) on Friday 26 September.
FSW works intensively with local families to help them through difficult periods in their lives. Fireco has been volunteering at FSW’s Knowles Tooth Centre in Hurstpierpoint for a number of years, providing much needed support such as tidying up the grounds, decorating, putting up marquees for events and sorting donated food or Christmas presents. This type of volunteer work is crucial to a small charity.
QAHH have been benefitting from Fireco’s charitable efforts already. They’ve been providing nursing and rehabilitation for disabled ex-servicemen and women since 1919, and Fireco’s activities has included gardening, bingo, and donating the sales of a nude calendar!
Neil Purssey, MD of Fireco, says: “Charity is a high priority at Fireco because it provides practical support to those in need, and simultaneously promotes team bonding and a sense of well-being among staff members. As a key part of the company ethos, Fireco will continue to provide these important services to the local community.”
Fireco is a market leader in the design and manufacture of fire safety products, and the company celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Facilities Show, ExCel London, on 17-19 June.
