Man suffers broken jaw in attack after Rod Stewart concert in Brighton
A man suffered a broken jaw when he was attacked after the Rod Stewart concert at the American Express Community Stadium in Falmer.
Sussex Police said that the man was attacked at the junction of the A27 and Knights Gate Road as he left the concert about 10.30pm on Friday 13 June.
He was in some pain and was bleeding from his mouth but went home to Lee-on-Solent in Hampshire.
The next day he went to hospital and needed surgery, not having realised that his jaw was broken in two places. He also had a greenstick fracture. Surgeons had to insert a number of plates and screws.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened when a man got out of a BMW car and hit the victim.
