Michael Allen – Jubilee Library Foyer Exhibition

Talented local artist Michael Allen has lived in Brighton for some 18 years. He studied at Art College in the early 70s, and is currently a tutor in Art History at The Open University. He hasn’t exhibited paintings in Brighton for some 15 years, so this exhibition will showcase many never-before-seen pieces of work.

Michael’s art is experimental, unusual and interesting. On exhibition at the Jubilee Library this August will be six to eight large oil and acrylic paintings, one or two prints, drawings, and a self-portrait in mosaic (which has been described by entranced onlookers as “phenomenally good”). It’s a must-see for Brighton art lovers.

The exhibition will run in the Jubilee Library foyer from Tuesday 5th – Saturday 9th August 2014.

Times: 10am-7pm Tues, Thurs; 10am-5pm Wed, Fri & Sat.
