Latest TV launches in less than two weeks, and one component of the channel’s output will be Latest Sport, presented by Jay Legate, Joseph Gunn and Tim Embleton.

Jay has spent the last few years working as a teaching assistant at Carlton Hill Primary School. This gave him the opportunity to get a unique insight into the role sport plays in the education system and Jay has developed a passion for bringing different sports to the young people of Brighton & Hove.

Joseph is the only native Brightonian on the team. After leaving Brighton Film School he moved into radio presenting, before moving into the world of television. He is the owner of the bendiest arms in the world, meaning that a career as a super villain beckons if television doesn’t work out …

Tim is originally from Durham, and before coming to Latest TV he worked as a singer and radio presenter. Whilst far from being an athlete, he is always keen to try his hand at a new activity, usually with little success and always with the cameras on him.

The team came together as co-hosts of a weekly sports radio show in 2009 and since then have been committed to bringing high quality sports broadcasts to Brighton & Hove.

Among the programmes you can look forward to in the coming months, you will get a window into ‘Project 500’, a scheme which aims to introduce 500 more women into sports coaching, and ‘School Of Funk’ with JP Omari, who will teach you the funkiest of street dancing from your own home.

Latest Sport will launch on Freeview Channel 8 on August 28th!
