Missing hospital patient found in Brighton

A hospital patient who prompted concern when she disappeared has been found safe and well in Brighton.

Georgina Brown was reported missing after discharging herself from the Conquest Hospital in Hastings late last Wednesday night (13 August).

She had given medical staff her name and said that she came from Haywards Heath but refused to give any other details.

Sussex Police issued an appeal for help trying to trace her a day later (Thursday 14 August), saying that medical staff were concerned for her health and that she may require urgent treatment.

This morning (Tuesday 19 August) the force said that she had been found safe and well in Brighton, adding: “Many thanks to everyone who contributed to publicising the search for her, especially on social media.”
