Celebcity: Peter Andre’s new fragrance
Peter Andre’s new fragrance, Brighton’s X Factor success, Ant & Dec, Zoe Ball flies high
Heaven scent
Peter Andre is a man of many talents. He sings, he dances, he makes coffee. Last week, Peter played to a packed house at the Brighton Centre as part of his nationwide Big Night Tour, as well as launching his new (and unbelievably his fifth) fragrance.
The perfume, called ‘Scarlet’, is the latest in the star’s range that includes ‘Unconditional’, ‘Forever’ and, of course, ‘Mysterious Girl’.
At the launch, Peter commented: “I’m really proud of this fragrance and the rest of my collection. When we first started doing the perfumes 10 years ago I’d have never thought we’d still be doing this, but they’ve gone through the roof. I think ‘Scarlet’ is up there with ‘Forever’ as my favourite fragrances.”
Sing the blue
This weekend, Brighton singer Betsy Blue English made it through to the final 12 acts on this year’s X Factor. The 18 year old singer is part of pop quartet Only The Young, who will now progress to the live shows under the gaze of mentor Louis Walsh.
X Factor supremo and king of primetime, Simon Cowell, has actually tipped the group to take home the crown this year. As a city we have a great track record of success in TV talent contests; with the lovely Collabro winning this year’s Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year and going on to record a number one selling album.
Good luck, Betsy – let’s see if you can make it a Brighton double for 2014!
Spotted!
News reaches me that the ever popular multi-award winning Geordie TV presenters Ant and/or Dec have been in the city. The pair were spied by an eagle eyed reader in The Creperie on Ship Street.
Spotted!
The ever fragrant star of TV and radio, Ms Zoe Ball, taking a flight on the brilliant Brighton Wheel down on Madeira Drive.
I am loving Zoe on the Strictly Come Dancing spin off show It Takes Two this season, and am REALLY enjoying the new all-female line up over on the main show; how rare is it that prime time TV is dominated by women? Zoe, Claudia and Tess, we salute you!
