Ropetackle naming saga in Shoreham rumbles on – but do locals care?

The Ropetackle naming saga is rumbling on.

Owners of the building in Shoreham caused outrage earlier this year when they renamed the building Basepoint overnight.

This was despite the area being known as Ropetackle for hundreds of years.

More than a 1,000 people signed a petition calling for the name to be restored.

But the company are showing no signs of backing down.

They have now submitted a planning application for permission to make the change.

A decision is expected in the coming months. And residents we spoke to were very much split on the issue.
