The Missy Malone & Friends Burlesque Revue

I’d chalk this evening off as a bad night, as all the elements were there for a great one, but things went against them from the start. Costume malfunctions and technical issues didn’t help, nor did the gabbling, almost inaudible host Desmond O’Connor, which was a shame as the audible stuff proved he was funny and talented. Of the acts, last minute stand in Sophia St Villier was the stand out, with some imaginative and alluring performances. But I tip my hat to Mr B, ‘The Gentleman Rhymer’; mixing vaudeville with ’90s dance music is inspired genius and got the audience pumping.
