Eschewing a straightforward narrative, this play was instead a contemplative, haunting sci-fi tale and with a somewhat unique style. Centring around a choir in a small village, the story was laden with uncertainty and fear regarding the end of the world, including a lake drying up, birdsong changing and other mysterious signs. The live singing was superb and the performances were strong, luring one in to a strange world. Although the plot was intentionally vague, the lack of resolution or explanation significantly hindered the play. Some refining of the promising premise could have perhaps resulted in something more impressive and immersive.
