Three people released by police after vicious assault in Brighton city centre

Three people have been released without charge following a serious assault on a man in Brighton.

Police say the victim, who has yet to be identified, remains in hospital after the assault in North Street just after 7am on Saturday.

A 28-year-old man of no fixed address and a 43-year-old woman from Brighton were arrested on suspicion of robbery, whilst a 30-year-old man from Brighton had been arrested on suspicion of GBH.

All three were released without charge.
