Plans for late night arts centre in Brighton deferred

A decision on plans to open a new late night arts centre in the heart of Brighton has been delayed.

Those behind Synergy in West Street want permission to open until 4am on weekends and at least midnight throughout the week.

But Sussex Police have opposed, believing it will add to existing late night issues.

A town hall licensing panel met yesterday for five hours but deferred making a decision.
