Hans Teeuwen: Real Rancour
After six years away from the British stage, the dark master of absurd, confrontational and unsettling comedy has thankfully come back to shock us all again. His return comes with a new style – he’s abandoned his previously playful, clown-like cabaret performance, replacing it with a raw, acerbic and relentless attack of the audience’s moral compass. While this is certainly a challenge (and sometimes an ordeal) to watch and comprehend, it allows Teeuwen to take his craft to a whole new level and pose the type of difficult questions other comedians are too scared to even skirt around. Welcome back Hans.
