Tom Odell

Rag’n’bone man was the superb warm up for tonight’s support act. Crooning his way through with a special something.

The audience wait. Young and old. The time comes. Tom Odell’s first words: the drummer has dislocated his shoulder so Graeme the reserve will stand in. No matter, Tom and the band launch straight into the set with total conviction, grace and elegance,  which consisted mainly of songs off the latest album ‘Long Way Down’. Superb piano, reminiscent of  a young Elton John. Haunting melodies with a voice that would put the chills in any gothic gathering.

He tells us of fond memories of living in Brighton , playing in local pubs to nobody. How life has changed for this incredibly talented young chap. The band were superb. Graeme played a blinder. All in all I would suggest to buy the new album ‘Long Way Down’. You will not be disappointed.
