Celebcity: Jolly Comedy!
As I write this column I’m working in Prague, in the Czech Republic, at the International Comedy Festival. I’m here for ten days as the MC, along with Geoff Whiting and getting to work with great comedians such as Brighton’s Zoe Lyons, Dave Thompson, Nathan Caton, Carly Smallman and Christian Schulte-Loh.
So far I’ve been here for five days and am having a wonderful time in a beautiful city. When I return I’m looking forward to going to watch a show a little closer to home in Worthing, on the 19th of November.
‘Jolly Comedy’ is a well established comedy night run by musical comedian Jo Public. I’ve known Jo for many years now and she is one of the funniest people I know. Her self deprecating style and comedy songs are hysterical, but the comedy night she runs in Worthing is a great night out with class acts.

This month Suzy Bennett (“vibrant, gorgeous and extremely funny” say the BBC) is the headline act, with support by Sam Savage and her comedy character Lynda Larkin. Both of whom I’ve worked with in the past and are brilliant comedians.
The night will be hosted by Jo Public. It’s an evening not be missed with this line up of fantastically funny ladies. The other bonus about this night is you can take your own drinks with you! Result!
Jolly Comedy will be at Heene Road Community Centre, 122 Heene Road, Worthing, BN11 4PL. Doors open at 7.30pm, you can get tickets in advance for £10 on WeGotTickets or on the door for £15
