Beauty and the Beast – Talking Scarlet
This is my sort of pantomime. Young and old will find the clever script funny, the well-crafted songs don’t slow the story, the professional cast aren’t amplified and you can hear the words. There were loads of kids in the audience and the tiny ones coped well with the scarily furry Beast. It needs plenty of audience participation so please wrap up warm and go along. By the time the talking furniture appears (provided by a well-rehearsed and confident children’s chorus) you’ll be ready to believe anything. If this doesn’t put you in the Festive mood you’d better skip Christmas!
