Episode 10: Mirrors, John Bindon, Miss Hope Springs, Laura

Welcome to Latest Television’s Brighton Lights! Brighton is a city full of creativity. There are plenty of cultural events to choose from every day and in this episode we sample some of them.
For a start meet John Bindon – actor, fighter, womanizer and all round ‘good geezer’ – brought to life in Franklyn McCabe’s Two Bins theatre production.
Then watch the exclusive interview with The Mirrors – a four-strong band that are ready to rock the scene with the electro-notes of their pop noir and slick and suited style. Freshly signed by Skint Records and about to set off to Europe supporting OMD, these guys have the right credentials to be the next big thing.
Next we present ‘Laura’, a new play (inspired by characters from Tennessee Williams’s classic The Glass Menagerie), written and realised by a new Brighton-based Theatre Company, Spun Glass Theatre. The piece examines the idea of romance and how it can sometimes be a barrier to finding real love.
Finally Andrew Kay, accompanied by the gorgeous Miss Hope Springs, takes you, dear viewer, on a beautiful musical journey through entertainment and politics (Carnival’ music and lyrics Ty Jeffries, © 2010, all rights reserved). Enjoy the show!
Playgroup Festival will be featured in the next episode.
