Barbara Windsor lookalike wins tickets to Brighton charity ball
Barbara Windsor lookalike Carol Dee, from Hove, has won a competition run by one of Brighton’s favourite charities, Rockinghorse.
The children’s charity ran the contest to find a celebrity double to promote its annual ball at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on Saturday 19 November.
Carol, who beat a Kate Middleton and Daniel Craig as 007 lookalike, said: “I’ve lived in Hove for five years and I’ve always been aware of the work Rockinghorse does throughout the area.” Her prize is a pair of tickets to the ball.
“The theme of this year’s Rockinghorse Ball is Cool Britannia and the organisers promise great British food, the best of British music and the charity’s popular dodgems.
They will be raising money for sick and disabled children through a raffle, an auction and from ticket sales.
Tickets cost £90 a person or £850 for a table of ten. For more information call Allie Polhill on 01273 330044 or visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk/events.
