Two charged with robbing Brighton shop
Two people from Brighton have been charged with robbing the same shop.
Ashley Hill, 21, of Taunton Road, Bevendean, is accused of robbing the Happy Shopper in Upper Bevendean Avenue, Brighton, on Thursday (13 October).
He is alleged to have stolen four cans of lager worth £4 and was due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 17 October).
A woman was charged with a robbery at the same shop on the same day.
Jessica Tipping, 26, of Ghyllside, Brighton, has been charged with racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress.
She has also been charged with robbery, namely robbing a named victim of cash, wine and cigarettes to the value of £300.
Tipping was held in custody was also due to appear today before Brighton magistrates.
Sussex Police officers are searching for another suspect after the Happy Shopper was also robbed on Tuesday 11 October.
