Family mourns motorcyclist and passenger after Hove crash

The names of the two men who died in a motorbike crash in Hove in the early hours of Monday (17 October) have been released.

They are Paul Gordon, 44, of Clarendon Road, Hove, and his nephew Richard Gordon, 28, of Gordon Road, Shoreham.

The pair died at the scene after crashing into a lamppost in King George VI Avenue, Hove, known locally as Snakey Hill, at about 1.50am.

The accident happened close to the junction with Goldstone Crescent and no other vehicles were involved, Sussex Police believes.

Traffic officers are investigating the accident and would like to hear from any witnesses on 0845 6070999.

An inquest is expected to be held on a date to be arranged.
