Fire crew helps teenage burglary suspect down from Brighton roof
A suspected burglar had to be rescued by firefighters after he became stuck on a Brighton roof.
The teenager trapped himself while trying to evade police in the early hours of this morning (Friday 28 October).
Officers were called to a car park in Rock Place at 3.15am today after two teenagers were spotted acting suspiciously on the roof of the car park.
The pair tried to escape across roof tops but one of them became stuck and had to be brought down by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.
The second made off but he was arrested in Lower Rock Gardens shortly after 4am after Sussex Police received another call reporting him.
The pair, from Brighton, were in custody in Hollingbury this morning.
One, an 18-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage. The other, a 17-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
