Brighton and Hove churchgoers invited to help choose next bishop
The appointments secretaries to the Archbishops and the Prime Minister are coming to Brighton tomorrow (Wednesday 23 November).
They will be holding an open consultation meeting as they help choose the next Bishop of Chichester.
The current bishop, the Right Reverend John Hind, 66, is due to retire next April after 11 years in post.
The meeting is one of two that the appointments secretaries are holding in the diocese and offers a chance for anyone to raise matters to do with the appointment.
The appointments secretaries will then consider any feedback when they report back to the Crown Nominations Committee.
The meeting tomorrow takes place from 7.30pm to 9pm at St Bartholomew’s Church in Ann Street, Brighton.
