Teenager has emergency op after Brighton night club attack
A teenager was knocked unconscious and left with a broken jaw after being attacked in a Brighton night club in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 27 November).
The 18-year-old underwent emergency surgery at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after the being attacked in Coalition at about 3.30am.
The man suspected of attacking him left the club, in King’s Road Arches, shortly afterwards with a woman. The couple were described as being in their twenties.
The suspect was described as a stocky muscular white man, about 5ft 9in tall with short, spiky black hair.
Detective Constable Aran Boyt said: “This was a particularly violent assault that has left a young man in hospital needing emergency surgery.
“His jaw is broken in three places.
“We are releasing a CCTV photo of the suspect and are keen for anyone with information to come forward.”
The victim of the unprovoked attack was said to need further surgery and to be in a stable condition.
